Welcome and pick up from Chiang Mai Airport / Bus Station or Railway Station. Chiang Mai is known as “The Rose of the North” and Thailand’s second largest city. Chiang Mai used to be the capital of the former Lanna Kingdom (“The Kingdom of a million rice fields”). Here you will find everything Thailand is all about: temples and Lanna culture, various hill tribes; mountains, jungle and waterfalls; elephant camps and orchid farms as well handmade products such as silk, woodcarvings, silver and bronze products, lacquer ware, painted umbrellas etc. Today Chiang Mai is becoming a modern city without losing its former Lanna traditions.
Transfer to the Elephant Camp at Mae Rim where the elephant show is very popular with all visitors to the North. The show starts with the elephants bathing and playing in the river, before they show their strength and precision at work.
