Day 6: Hue – Hoi An Meals: B +Guide After breakfast, we drive to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years and for sure, Hoi An is a wonderful destination for all kinds of Vietnam Tours. This scenic drive passes through the fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds. Along the way, stop in Danang to visit the Cham Museum which contains the finest collection of Cham sculptures in the world. Upon arrival in Hoi An, free to take walking tour of the Hoi An ancient town centre. Overnight in a Hoi An hotel.
Day 7: Hoi An Cooking class Meals: B, L +Guide We start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 863210) – our meeting point.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy. On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked. Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our new 20 metre swimming pool. Overnight in a Hoi An hotel. Day 8: Hoi An – My Son Tour – Hoi An Meals: B, L +Guide After breakfast, we invite you an interesting visit to My Son Holy land, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to 16th century with very rich in history and culture. Contemplate its remarkable red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries. Drive back to Hoi An, end of your today's beautiful Vietnam Tour with visit the former merchants' homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the colourful riverside market. Day 13: Phnom Penh – Chau Doc by boat Meals: B + Guide Breakfast at hotel and until we transfer you to the boat pier for your boat departure to Chau Doc at 12.30pm. Upon your arrival, pick up and overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 14: Chau Doc – Can Tho Meals: B, L + Guide After breakfast, we take the boat trip to explore the floating and fishing village of Chau Doc then a unique Cham ethnic minority village before driving to Can Tho. Stop on the way to see famous Sam Mountain and enjoy a great view from the summit. Continue to Can Tho, the heart of Mekong Delta in Vietnam. Check in and free at leisure. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 15: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh Meals: B, L + Guide
Day 16: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho chi Minh Meals: B, L +Guide Morning pick up from the hotel for Cu Chi Tunnels tour, en route to visit the bustling market at Thu Dao Mot. Afternoon drive back to Ho Chi Minh. After lunch, visit the War Remnants or History Museum and the former Presidential Palace. Day 17: Ho chi Minh – Muine Beach (Phan Thiet) Meals: B +Guide
Day 18 - 20: Muine Beach (Phan Thiet) Meals: B Days are free at leisure for you to write about your Vietnam Tours experience or to explore the area including the fishing village of Mui Ne which locates at the far end of the beach, the village and several hectares of massive rolling sand dunes make a pleasant diversion from relaxing on the beach, swimming and windsurfing. The village is worth a visit for three reasons – firstly, very few tourists go further than the dunes, secondly, the small harbour is picturesque (there’s an excellent view from where the dunes road turns off) and thirdly, there’s an interesting pagoda where followers of Vietnam’s whale cult hold services and store skeletons of the massive sea mammals.
