Sapa is losing its charm

Sapa has long been a top tourist destination in Vietnam. Traveling to Sapa, tourists will have opportunities to meet several ethnic minorities, experience their unique culture as well as enjoy imposing mountains, trek through picturesque villages and stunning valleys of the world's most amazing rice terraces. However, Sapa is losing its charm and beauty due to mass construction since the new superhighway linking Hanoi with Lao Cai came to operator in 2015.

A lot of Vietnamese tourists flock to Sapa especially at weekend make this lovely town crazy and staying in Sapa during day time, tourists will get sick of the noise from trucks, buses, new hotel construction.

Again, the ethnic villages near Sapa such as Cat Cat village, Giang Ta Chai village, Ta Phin village are too touristic. It is no fun when tourists are followed by kids and women and asked to buy something from them.

Vivutravel suggests that tourists should not visit Sapa at weekend and book Sapa tour packages with Vivutravel so that we can organise the tours to less-visited areas of Sapa and choose the nice hotel which offers wonderful mountain view and is away from noise.

Best time to visit Sapa
It is from June to early October when tourists can see the beautiful rice terraces and the weather is nice.
