Vietnam has extended a visa exemption program for 5 European countries

Tourist arrivals from the five countries to Vietnam all recorded impressive growth in the first half of the year. According to this result, The government has decided to extend visa exemptions for citizens from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. It will enable citizens from the five countries to continue to travel to Vietnam for tourism or business without obtaining a visa for stays of up to 15 days, to June 30, 2017.

Currently Vietnam is exempt from visa for 22 countries, including unilateral visa exemption for 13 countries : Japan, Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, UK , Spain, Italy, Russia, Belarus, France, Germany; and exemption of visa on the basis of reciprocity with nine ASEAN countries.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of Tourism said the electronic visa ( e - visa ) and visas issued at the border ( visa on arrival ) will apply from the beginning of 2017. It's will create favorable conditions for international visitors easy to get visa to Vietnam.
