Vietnam plans to resume commercial flights from 15 September 2020

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam has reported in writing to the Ministry of Transport to complete the plan to resume a number of international routes from September 15.

If the proposal of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam is approved by the Ministry of Transport, 6 international routes will be reopened from September 15 to serve the travel needs of people.

Recently, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has proposed to resume the Hanoi-Tokyo route with a frequency of one flight / week / way for each party and Ho Chi Minh City-Tokyo with a frequency of one flight / week / way for each side.

The Vietnamese side appoints Vietnam Airlines / Pacific Airlines to flexibly coordinate the Hanoi-Tokyo route with Boeing B787 (343 seats) on every Tuesday. Vietjet Air operates the Ho Chi Minh City-Tokyo route with Airbus A321 aircraft (240 seats) every Tuesday. The maximum number of passengers arriving in Vietnam will be isolated in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City at 560 per week.

For routes to China, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam proposes to reopen Ho Chi Minh City-Guangzhou route with a frequency of one flight / week / way for each party, in which, the Vietnamese side designates Vietnam Airlines / Pacific Airlines operates flexibly with Boeing B787 (343 seats). The Chinese side appoints an airline to operate with the Airbus A320 with a maximum of 200 seats. The number of isolated passengers in Ho Chi Minh City is maximum 540 passengers / week.

For routes to Korea, Vietnam Aviation Administration proposed Vietnam Airlines / Pacific Airlines to operate the Hanoi-Seoul route with a frequency of one flight / week by Boeing B787 aircraft. Vietjet operates the Ho Chi Minh City-Seoul route with Airbus A321 aircraft. The maximum number of quarantines in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City is 650 pax / week.

For flights to Taipei (Taiwan), Vietnam Airlines / Pacific Airlines will operate in early Ho Chi Minh City with Boeing B787 aircraft and Vietjet will operate in early Hanoi by Airbus A320 aircraft. Estimated maximum number of isolated tourists in Hanoi is 620 guests / week; in Ho Chi Minh City is 700 pax / week.

Routes to Laos and Cambodia are also proposed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to resume with a frequency of one week / flight, operated by Vietnam Airlines.

With the above exploitation plan, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam expects the number of weekly passengers entering about nearly 5,000 passengers, mainly in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh.

In addition to the plan to reopen international routes, on September 7, the Ministry of Transport issued a document of express speed to the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam; Departments: Vietnam Aviation, Vietnam Railways, Vietnam Maritime, Vietnam Inland Waterways; The Department of Transport of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government to restore the operation of passenger transport vehicles to / from Da Nang city.

Accordingly, the Ministry requires the above agencies to notify the transport business units to restore 100% of the frequency of operations of passenger transport means (cars, trains, aircraft, water means ...) to / from Da Nang city to return to normal from 0:00 on September 7, 2020.
