Vietnam Airlines has just opened the sale of flight tickets with flight number VN417 from Seoul (South Korea) - Hanoi on September 25. This is the first official regular international commercial flight to Vietnam after COVID-19.
A representative of Vietnam Airlines said that due to special requirements on procedures for disease prevention, tickets are not open for sale on the Vietnam Airlines website, but customers contact to buy tickets through Vietnam Airlines' official ticket offices and agents in Vietnam or Korea.
"As soon as the Government and the authorities approved the flight last night on September 22, Vietnam Airlines and related units have completed everything necessary to re-connect and open ticket sales" - Vietnam Airlines information.
The flights are subject to very strict disease control regulations. Temporarily, passengers who connect a flight to Vietnam from a third country will not be accepted. For the crew, all members, after returning to Vietnam, will be given a health check and quarantined according to regulations. The aircraft is sprayed to sterilize the entire passenger compartment, chemical cockpit according to international standards.
Previously, Vietnam Airlines safely carried out the first regular international commercial flight, the journey from Hanoi to Tokyo (Japan), with nearly 60 passengers, mainly international students and workers. Vietnam and some Japanese citizens come to Japan to continue studying, working and living.
Vietjet air also announced that it would resume flights from Vietnam to Japan, Korea, and Taiwan on September 29.
