Vietnam pilot welcomes international tourists in phases
At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on the afternoon of November 4, answering questions about measures to ensure epidemic prevention for international visitors and locals when Phu Quoc and some localities of Vietnam will welcome tourists. Deputy Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said:
The Vietnamese government has agreed to a pilot roadmap to welcome international tourists to Vietnam. Accordingly, the roadmap to reopen international tourism is divided into 3 phases. Phase 1 from November 2021, phase 2 from January 2022, phase 3 from the second quarter of 2022.
Vietnam opens its doors to international tourists, launches direct flights to the US
Also at the press conference, talking about a direct commercial flight to the US of Vietnam Airlines scheduled for the end of November, Ms. Pham Thu Hang emphasized: "The conduct of direct flights to the US is meaningful and important for promoting multi-faceted cooperation, especially in economy, trade, tourism, education and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
According to Ms. Hang, this is a job that has been carefully prepared for a long time and there is close cooperation between the authorities of the two countries.
Recently, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has been approved by the US Department of Transportation Security to ensure air traffic security for regular flights between Vietnam and the US.
The Vietnamese authorities are coordinating to complete the final procedures to implement the flight plan of Vietnam Airlines and will continue to coordinate and support other airlines in Vietnam that wish and have the conditions for direct flights to the US.
