Hoi An is one of the most popular destinations in Vietnam that caters to travellers of all tastes and across the continents. The destination can not miss when travel to Vietnam. Hoi An was recognizes as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. There are the things that make up the reputation. Hoi An is home to many temples, pagodas and the ancient homes that bear its very unique mark. The density of such sites is unlike any other in Vietnam. But when is the best time of year to visit  Hoi An? Vivu Travel would like to suggest you the best time to visit this ancient town.

The climate of Hoi An is considered tropical.  This means that the temperatures are warm throughout the year, and the year is distinctively broken up by the wet and dry seasons. 

The dry weather from mid-January to late August, with temperatures often reaching the mid-30's °C. from February to May is the best time to visit the town, since its weather becomes very mild and beautiful with moderate temperature, low humidity, less rain and warm sunshine. For ones who enjoy sunbathing on famous beaches near Hoi An like Cua Dai Beach or An Bang Beach.

The rainy season in Hoi An is from September until January.  During this time, rain clouds will constantly move through the area, particularly during October and November. It can rain constantly and there is a high probability of flood and typhoons. There are days during which sunshine is abundant, but they are not the majority. On these days, you can do some activities in house such as join a cooking class or shopping...

If you are lucky enough to arrive at the town on the 14th day of a lunar month, Hoi An will be much more charming with its Full Moon Festival. On that day they celebrate the festivals with traditional songs, dancing, games and special vegetarian versions of all the local speciality dishes, with lanterns lining all of the streets.
