Every season has its own flavor only at Vietnam

Vietnam is a year-round travel destination, with its weather that will enchant everyone from rain lovers to sun worshippers. When it is about the best time to visit really comes down to what you want to do and what you want to see. Each season in Vietnam offers visitors plenty of reasons to visit. There is no real best or worst time to visit Vietnam as during most months of the year you will experience both sunshine and rain in varying quantities. When it comes to weather, it’s a tough call, as Vietnam’s climate is so diverse, but the seasons vary across the country and you should be prepared to encounter some rain whenever you decide to travel. The climate in North Vietnam is humid and subtropical. On the other hand South Vietnam enjoys a tropical climate all year round, while Central Vietnam lies somewhere in between. As it is a long and narrow country, the climate of Vietnam varies considerably from region to region. The local conditions vary from frosty winters in the far northern hills to subequatorial warmth in the Mekong Delta. Visitors will enjoy thick frosts and occasional snow in the mountains of the country during their Vietnam tour.

Northern Vietnam, that includes Hanoi, Halong Bay and Sapa, can be quite cold, cloudy and fuzzy from November to March. However, during this period it is also possible to experience lovely sunny, cloudless days here. You might need warm clothing and an anorak or other waterproof in case of rain, but these things can be purchased locally with a very cheap rate if required.

The wonderful places like Hue, Hoi An, Danang and Nha Trang are coming under the central region of the country and the central part is at its wettest from September to December. Usually this period sees monsoon rains and occasional typhoons that can cause flooding in the area, and at the same time this is rarely of such a level as to seriously affect a journey. Some people might say that our summer months i,e June, July, August are the best time to visit Vietnam. As the weather in central Vietnam is likely to be sunny and pleasant during this time, and although there may be short cloudburst in the south and north, sometimes many people see no rain at all and enjoy cloudless sunny skies.

Southern Vietnam will be very humid, and downpours cannot be left out, but these generally clear the atmosphere and do not prevent you from sightseeing and enjoying the beautiful country.
