Vietnam Itinerary for Overseas Vietnamese on Lunar new year

Every years, when Lunar new year coming, a lot of Overseas Vietnamese would like to come back to their mother country to visit their relative. Besides, they also would like to learn more about their history and culture. That is why we would like to suggest Overseas Vietnamese a Vietnam history and Culture tour 15 days from Hanoi as below:

Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Vietnam is deserved to be a top country to travel in your lifetime which is famous for its peaceful country-sides, green rice paddy fields, rugged mountain ranges, exotic ethnic minorities, amazing white sandy beaches, spectacular bays, mysterious pagodas and significant historical sites. You will be welcomed upon your arrival at Noi Bai airport (Hanoi) by our experienced English speaking tour guide and driver before transferring to your hotel for check-in. (check-in time: 14:00). Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Phu Tho – Dong Anh – Hanoi
After breakfast at hotel, we leave Hanoi for Phu Tho to visit Hung King temple. Have lunch in the local small restaurant in Viet Tri city. After lunch, we drive back to Dong Anh district to visit Co Loa Ancent Citadel which is the Capital of Vietnam in 3rd century BC. Then drive back to Hanoi to see water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi city tour
Today you will visit Ho Chi Minh President Mausoleum and Museum, One pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam and have lunch in the restaurant. Afternoon, we visit one of following museums (Amry museum or Art museum, History museum, Women museum is at your choice), Hanoi Flag tower and come back to Hanoi old quarter to  enjoy one hour cyclo trip around the trading area in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi – Duong Lam ancient village
Depart your hotel at 0830 and travel west of Hanoi to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River Delta which still preserves many hundred-year-old houses. Visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu commune - the only hamlet whose original village entrance remains intact. Continue on through the narrow alleys to see the old laterite houses which make up this charming village. Enjoy lunch in a ancient family and continue visit Mia pagoda -built in the 15th century, Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes - King Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung. Drive back to Hanoi for overnight.

Day 5: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc
Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are two most beautiful sceneries of Ninh Binh province, just 100 km southeast of Ha Noi. Hoa Lu is the Ancient Royal Capital under Dinh Dynasty and pre-Le Dynasty, which lasted 41 years (968-1009). In comparison with Hoa Lu, Tam Coc is considered Ha Long Bay on land because of its beauty and charm. Sitting on boat en route Tam Coc, you have a good chance of viewing the scenic beauty of huge rocks standing along river and scattered green rice fields, which are all combined to form a poetic painting of the countryside.

Day 6: Hanoi – flight to Hue
Free time at leisure until we transfer you to airport for short flight to Hue. Upon arrival, the local tour guide in Hue will welcome and transfer you to hotel for check in. Overnight in Hue.

Day 7: Hue – Phong Nha caves – Hue
Depart Hue at 6h30 AM, our tour guide and driver will take you to Phong Nha – Ke Bang where is very famous with Phong Nha caves. On the way we will visit Hien Luong bridge and Ben Hai river where Vietnam was bisected between Southern and Northern.
Arrival Phong Nha, we take a cruise to visit Phong Nha cave. Drive back to Hue on Ho Chi Minh legendary road. Overnight in Hue

Day 8: Hue country side tour
Morning visit ancient Phuoc Tich village, enjoy a show of Vo Kinh Van An – a martial arts of Hue. Drive back to Hue city for lunch and free at leisure. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue – Danang – Hoian – My Son holy land
Leave Hue to Hoian, passing Lang Co beach, Hai Van pass, lunch in Hoian town then drive to visit My Son holy land – the capital and religious center of Cham people, one the the World Heritage of Vietnam. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoian walking tour in ancient town
We start our trip with Hoi An History Museum. Visit the historical and cultural museum security meeting, visitors will get an overview of the historical process as well as rich culture of the ancient town.
Then, we will visit a local market close by. The next stop is Phuc Kien Assembly Hall. There is a site that you cannot miss in Hoi An is Japanese Covered Bridge. The last visit is Tan Ky ancient house. Trip ends at your hotel.

Day 11: Hoian day free on beach    
Free at leisure on beach and overnight in Hoian.

Day 12: Hoian – Danang – flight to Saigon
Free time at leisure until tour guide and driver transfer you to airport for flight to Saigon.
Relax and discover Saigon city and overnight in Saigon.

Day 13: Saigon – Cu Chi tunnels
Today we will visit the incredible underground tunnel network of approximately 200 kilometres hand-constructed by Vietnamese guerillas during the long struggle for independence where you will understand more about the Vietnam War or American War, a must see Vietnam Tour for any tourists to learn about Vietnam past and present days.

Day 14: Saigon day free
Day free at leisure and explore the other site of Saigon city. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 15: Saigon departure
