Vietnam photography tour in Sapa and its surroundings

Sapa has long been considered as the "city of cloud" or where "earth meets heaven" which is to describe how charming and beautiful Sapa is! Furthermore, Sapa is the gateway to a different world of mysterious and unique culture, life of many ethnic groups living in this area. To get to Sapa, you can take the overnight train from Hanoi, but it is not recommended as it is boring, tiring and difficult to have a good sleep so Vivutravel advises you to travel to Sapa by road which takes only 5-6 hours on superhighway with wonderful view toward wonderful countryside.

The best time for Sapa photography tour is from July - September when it is sunny with blue sky and the rice terraces are fantastic in green or yellow.

Day 1 (7 Sep): Hanoi - Sapa (Lunch)
This morning, our tour guide and driver pick you at your hotel in Hanoi or at Noi Bai international airport and drive to Sapa. Stop on the way to shoot great photos where you want. Check in upon your arrival and free to explore the town. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 2 (8 Sep): Sapa - Lao Chai village - Ta Van Village (Homestay) (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Let's wake up early to enjoy the sunrise and take great photos of Fansipan (the highest mount in Vietnam in cloud) before we start the trip to Muong Hoa valley where you will see the most beautiful rice terraces in Lao Chai and Ta Van village as well as discover daily life of the Black H'Mong and Day ethnic group. Today, we will stay overnight in a homestay with the Day minority in a picturesque village and you will have more time to hunt for more photos.

Day 3 (9 Sep): Ta Van village - Giang Ta Chai - Sapa - Y Ty (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, we trek to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dao minority then we drive back to Sapa for shower and lunch before heading to Y Ty - another must-know place among photographers in Vietnam. Overnight in Y Ty.

Day 4 (10 Sep): Y Ty - Bac Ha (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Listed among best mystical destinations in Asia, Y Ty is remote village in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai. Thrillist described Y Ty as a landscape sitting atop Vietnam's highest plateau, offering spectacular views of cloud-reaching mountains and yellow rice patty fields. Time to hunt for great photos again before heading to Bac Ha. Overnight in Bac Ha.

Day 5 (11 Sep - Sunday): Bac Ha - Hoang Su Phi (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Bac Ha market has been very famous in Lao Cai. The market is only on Sunday. It is the place for the different ethnic groups such as Flower H'Mong, Nung, Day, Dao to trade their home-made products and see old friends, make new friends, eat, drink and enjoy life after a week of working hard. The market is lively like a festival and you are at the right place to shoot memorable photos. After lunch in Bac Ha, we drive to Hoang Su Phi for overnight.

Day 6 (11 Sep): Hoang Su Phi (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today you will have a full day to explore this nice place and come to San Sa Ho and Phung village to hunt for photos. In Hoang Su Phi, you have not just terraced rice fields, but 12 different ethnic groups so you will definitely a great experience here. Overnight in Hoang Su Phi.

Day 7 (12 Sep): Hoang Su Phi - Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
Time to say goodbye to the less-visited but charming places in northern Vietnam and drive back to Hanoi. We drop you at Noi Bai international airport or your hotel in Hanoi City. End of wonderful Vietnam photography tour in Sapa and its surroundings.
