Things to do in Ba Be lake

Homestay is highly recommended to experience life and culture of the Tay ethnic group who live on the houses on stilts. The homestay is basic, but clean and comfortable enough. Remember to learn how to cook local foods and try some corn wine. If you want to stay in a mini hotel, it is possible but will be boring.

Boat trip is the best way to visit Ba Be lake. The trip takes around 4 hours and you can visit widow island, Dau Dang waterfall and Puong cave.

Trekking in Ba Be national park is also a good thing to do. Ba Be is a diverse area of biology.
