Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. After briefing with your guide about the tour, traffic rules in Vietnam before a walking visit to Hanoi old quarter and an interesting water puppet show in the evening.
Overnight in Hanoi.
8h00 pick up at your hotel, we first take the car out of the city before riding our own way with bikes through villages, valleys of Hoa Binh province.
Lunch break in Hoa Binh town, Visit Hoa Binh Hydro power, the biggest one in Vietnam, then continue the road up hills to Kun pass that offering spectacular views over the valleys and mountains.
Arrive in Lac village of the Thai people in Mai Chau. Check in a stilt house then take a short walk around. After dinner, join the traditional dance and music show of the White Thai people, taste Ruou Can - the special wine of the local made from rice and a kind of tree leaves.
Overnight in Thai’s house on stilts.
After breakfast, we head to Son La, a stop in Moc Chau with hundreds of giant grass farm for cows, You will know why this is the biggest milk centre in Vietnam, continue to Son La and enjoy the view of the Northern mountains, arrive in Son La at noon, check in hotel before visit “Son La prison" in the French war.
Walk around the town and overnight in Son La. Overnight in Son La
Ride to DBP. Visit very primitive village of the Black Thai village on the way that you can see the very basic conditions of life. Continue to biggest daily hilltribe market in Thuan Chau, see different ethnic groups, local fruits, food, but it will be much more beautiful experience when reaching amazing Pha Din Pass, time for photos.
Continue our way to Dien Bien. Overnight in Hotel at Him Lam Hotel.
Morning visit of the museum and sites of Dien Bien Phu. Head to Muong Lay, visit a village of the Black Dao People, if lucky, you will see an art of hair make-up of the old ladies on the way.
Tonight, we stay in Muong Lay, a very lovely town by “Black River”. Overnight Muong Lay.
Ride to Sa Pa, during your way, you will see many different ethnic villages of the Lao, Lu, Black Dao, Tien Dao, Day, Red H’mong before driving up to the highest pass in Vietnam - Hoang Lien Son. Stop over at “Heaven Gate” for a wonderful view down to amazing valley and Fanxipang - the highest mount in Vietnam (Roof of Vietnam). You also visit “Silver Waterfall” - the nicest one in the area before getting to your hotel in Sapa.
Overnight in Sapa.
After Breakfast, we ride to visit Muong Hoa valley. The road is with amazing view over the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, many ethnic villages and beautiful terraced rice fields.
Back to Sapa for the second night.
Pick up at the train station and morning drive by private car to Halong Bay (165km), Vietnam most scenic sight and highlight of any Vietnam Tour, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site.
Upon arrival, board your deluxe traditional wooden junk. Welcome drink on board.
After a relaxing break, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the wonderful Ha Long bay visiting its amazing grottoes and caves. Opportunity to dive off the boat and have a pleasant swimming in the deep blue water of EastSea before relaxing on your sun deck to view a Halong sunset.
Dinner on board with excellent fresh seafood. Overnight on board.
Get up early to catch the sunrise on the bay and relax with a cup of hot coffee or tea. We depart for a visit to the splendid Sung Sot grotto and a quick glimpse of a nearby fishing village. Enjoy nice brunch while cruising back through Halong bay to the pier. Transfer to HanoiAirport for afternoon flight to Hue.

Hue is known for the magnificent rchitecture of its Royal Tombs, pagodas and temples built by the Nguyen Dynasty along the icturesque setting of the PerfumeRiver. The royal relics of the Nguyen Emperors on the outskirts of the city are an easy ride from our hotel.
In the morning we will visit the old Imperial Citadel, the Forbidden PurpleCity, and the ImperialMuseum before lunch.
In the afternoon we will visit some ancient tombs of emperors past. We cycle approximately 12 km to the eccentric Tu Ducs tomb located in a serene setting on the outskirts of town. Time permitting we will cycle to Thien Mu Pagoda, which is considered the unofficial symbol of Hue, before returning to the hotel.
Overnight in Hue.
We will set out early from our hotel on the bikes and ride for approx 30kms. We ride on smaller paved roads away from the main traffic on flat terrain. Passing through rice fields, local markets, a famous covered bridge and seeing various other traditional crafts, makes this is a great introduction to cycling in Vietnam as well as seeing the countryside.
A motorbike follows with the first aid kit, water and tools as the road is too narrow for the support vehicle for this morning’s ride. After approx 3 hours we will board the bus and continue to the lunch stop on Lang Co Beach.
Following lunch there is the option to challenge ourselves by riding to the top of the Hai Van Pass some 500m above sea level. Either board the bus at the top or continue down the other side before once again boarding the bus for the journey to Hoi An town via DanangCity. If the group would like to ride further, we can ride along the relatively new coast road the runs parallel to the beach and into Hoi An township.
In the evening we will take a short walking tour through the old streets of Hoi An. The streets are charming at night with lanterns hanging from shop fronts and café patrons spilling onto the streets. Amongst other things, Hoi An is famous for a particular noodle dish (Cao Lau) which we endeavour to sample during our time here.
Hoi An Ancient Town - highlight of any tour to Vietnam- is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.
Day free to cycle through rice paddies in the countryside of Hoi An ancient town, shop for souvenirs among the antique shops and art galleries, or just sit at sidewalk cafes and soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town or relax on the white sandy beach of the famous Danang Beach.

Leaving Hoi An mid morning we take the bus to Chau O about 1.5 hrs from Hoi An. It is here we have a picnic lunch. From Chau O, the cycling is a mixture of dirt and paved roads through spectacular countryside and passing by villages where the people who love to say hello and wave at you. We continue to the better known hamlet of My Lai.
Located here is the evocative memorial for those villagers who died in the horrific massacre during the American War. The My Lai site is in a small rural settlement, surrounded by simple thatched huts, quilted rice paddies and farmers with conical hats going about their day to day routines. The mood set by these surroundings is one of peace and tranquility despite the deep scars of the past.
After visiting the simple memorial and museum we can either continue riding (depending on the time of day) or take our support bus to Quang Ngai where we stay overnight at Central Hotel.
Today is a more challenging day as we leave Highway 1 and head inland towards Quang Nam. We will cycle only part of today, along undulating roads with stunning photo opportunities. We will ride past many remote villages, tropical forests, over bridges and along quiet but scenic roads.
Overnight in Kom Tum
Today’s cycling avoids highway 14 which recently has become quite busy. The cycle passes scenery included rubber and tea plantations, as well as passing through several ethnic minority villages. The route today is on paved undulating roads on our way to the largest town in the Western Highlands, and the capital of DacLacProvince.
Overnight in Buon Me Thuot
Today we have another excellent cycling day. We enjoy the first 50kms riding along the valley floors before taking in the undulating roads of Highway 27. The scenery along the way is just simply breathtaking.
We will arrive into Dalat in late afternoon. Overnight in Da Lat.
Today we explore the fresh central highlands of Dalat by bike and enjoy its strong French feel. A visit inland to this lovely hill side town will be much appreciated for the cool climates that provide a welcome break from the usual humidity of Vietnam. Dalat’s population is made up of about 5000 hill tribe people of 33 distinct ethnic groups all with their own dress. Today’s tour will takein King Bao Dai’s SummerPalace, Crazy House, Thien Vien Truc Lam, XuanHuongLake, markets.
Overnight in Da Lat.
Today’s part-cycle covers 170kms on Highway 27B and whilst undulating is mostly downhill towards the coast and Nha Trang. We may see wild elephants as we pass through more minority hamlets on our way to the kilometres of untouched beaches, great climate and islands to explore which have made Nha Trang a popular Vietnamese resort. The accommodation for the next 2 nights is ideally situated right near the main beach in the centre of town.
Overnight in Nha Trang.
Today is a cycle-free day to enjoy the clear blue waters and relaxed ambiance of Nha Trang. We make an excursion by local boat on the harbour exploring nearby islands for a beach sojourn in the shade of coconut palms or snorkelling from the boat. You can also enjoy a relaxing massage, a cooling swim in the pristine waters, a pedicure or cool beer by the sea.
A fresh seafood lunch is also available on the boat if you wish. On our return to Nha Trang we can plan to visit a local fishing village. Nha Trang also offers a number of sights of historical or spiritual significance, which can be explored at your leisure in the afternoon after our return.
Overnight in Nha Trang.
After breakfast we will transfer to the airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City. In the afternoon, we walk through the heart of the city past some of Ho Chi Minh's famous sites; the French colonial Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, the former U.S. embassy, the President's Palace (also known as the ReunificationPalace), the War Crimes Museum.

Morning pick up from the hotel for Cu Chi tour, en route to visit the bustling market at Thu Dao Mot. Upon arrival in Cu Chi, we visit the incredible underground tunnel network of approximately 200 kilometres hand-constructed by Vietnamese guerillas and was the military base of the North Vietnamese Army during the US-Vietnam war.
Afternoon leave Cu Chi to Ho Chi Minh for farewell dinner. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

* Is there any charge if i change my travel plan such as travel dates, tour itinerary, hotels,...?
We are happy to work on your requests, and will not charge you any money. However, if it is too urgent and the date is too close, the hotels or airlines may chare you some money, in this case we will let you know.
* What is the latest time that I can make my reservation?
We suggest you make reservations at least one month before the departure date. If you decide to travel to Vietnam in May, September or October which is peak season, we recommend you make the reservations two months (at least one) before your departure date. Late reservations can not be guaranteed for the availability of domestic flights, hotel rooms, etc.
However, we DO accept late reservations, things are possible at Vivutravel.
* What about Cancellation policy?
In case of cancellation, we will not impose any charges if we are not being charged and possible to get refund from our suppliers but if our suppliers apply charges for cancellation, you will have to pay those charges that apply. Cancellation policies vary, depending upon the type of service, the time of year, and the reason for cancellation. We will pass on to you all details of any cancellation policy with our transparent reply upon demand.

* How do I get a visa?
Vietnam Visa - For those who would like to avoid the perhaps lengthening visa procedures with their local Vietnam's Embassies, the service of Vietnam Visa On Arrival is available for help. It is legitimated and supported by the Vietnamese Immigration Department. We recommend that you choose visa upon arrival, as picking up visa at the Vietnam int'l airport/border is quite simple, easy, no additional charges and no fail.

b) How long does it take?
It will take 2-3 days (Normal process), 01 day (Urgent process) to get the “Visa Approval Letter” which we will send you via mail. What you need is to print it out and take it along to get the stamp at airports/borders
c) Get the stamp
Upon arrival, you will need to fill in a certain form with your personal information, get the stamp and visa will be done. For this process, you will need to prepare 02 photos (4*6) and $25 USD each in cash which is stamping fee.
* Do our tour guides and drivers have meals with us?
The guide and the driver in each destination will dine at the same restaurant as yours. But, they will not join you unless you invite them.
* Where can I exchange our money into Vietnam currency?
We advise you to stop in any of a Vietnamese bank during the tour (Our tour guides will take you to the bank), you can also exchange money at your hotel, but the exchange rate is not really good.
* Can I use credit cards in Vietnam?
Major credit cards such as Master Card, Visa, Diner's Card, American Express and JCB can be used to purchase goods in large shopping malls and stores in the big and medium cities, to pay for hotel rooms and for meals in some of the fancier restaurants, and to buy plane tickets with them.
Note: If you are to travel to those small cities or even remote rural areas, only cash in Dong can be used.
* Do I need to bring my medical record with me?
Yes, we suggest you take your medical record with you in case that you need it in the event of an emergency, and please also take with you your doctor's name, address and phone number, emergency contact name and phone number, and your insurance company's name, address and phone number.
* When I finish my tour in Vietnam, if I still have some local money, what can I do?
Upon leaving Vietnam, if you still have some local money, you can change them back to foreign currency with your passport and the exchange memos given by the banks or money exchange counters. So please keep those exchange memos well whenever you change money.
* Tipping
Tipping is not compulsory, but expected by your tour guide and driver. We advise you to tip as below:

Note: In Sapa or some mountainous areas, we may use local tour guides who come from the ethnic groups like H'Mong, or Red Dao as they know better than anyone else about their land, culture, customs and habits... and this is also the way that Vivutravel helps the local people a better life.
Vivutravel's requirements for a tour guide:
1 - Licensed at least for 4 years with working experience.
2 - Guiding does require more than just hanging out in the sun. Guides must be friendly and good with people, organized enough to keep groups or people on schedule, quick on their feet and ready for the inevitable snafus that arises.
3 - Must be an honest broker of their services and able to take criticism.
4 - Should be qualified at some level in health, health care or first aid.
5 - Able to relate to people from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
6 - Clear speech and good hearing.
7 - Must not be a alcoholic or No-alcohol during working time or anytime when on tour.
8 - Tour guide is a nurse to take care of visitors, a boss to keep the right itinerary, a teacher to give information, an ambassador to introduce our country, an entertainer
9 - Must be on time every time. Being late or delay is unacceptable.
10 - Check flight tickets, train tickets, meals, weather... to make sure things are in order and inform local office if any changes that might effect the tour.
11 - Solve problems with care when there is dissatisfy. Argument should be averted by courtesy.
12 - If any change of itinerary is needed for unexpected reasons, your private tour guides will be more than accommodating in suggesting alternatives to ensure that you always have a wonderful experience.
Transportation:

- Our drivers must keep the vehicles clean,
- Our drivers are not allowed to hear cell-phone or smoke, chat, drink when driving.
- Our drivers must be friendly, helpful.
- Our drivers are not allowed to take you to shops unless you ask for.
- Your vehicle in each destination is air conditioned, insured, clean, and regularly maintained.
Tipping
Tipping is not compulsory, but expected by your tour guide and driver. We advise you to tip as below:
- US$10 - $15 per day for tour guide
- US$7 - US$10 per day for driver
- Tipping can be more or less or nothing that depends on how big is the group? And how do you enjoy our services?
- Other tipping for tuktuk, sampan boat, cyclo,... please check with your tour guide during the tour.

Breakfast:
Breakfast is included at all hotels and is buffet breakfast with Asian and Western food.
Lunch
Lunches (if included) are usually set menu at handpicked local restaurant with comfortable dining environment where you can rest assure to taste the local flavor. All restaurants are carefully selected and highly recommended.
If allergic to some food
We suggest you to list any food or ingredients that you are allergic to and let our travel consultant know. Then your travel consultant will mark them in the guide’s itinerary, so that our reservation's team and tour guides in different cities can make some preparations and arrangements in advance.
Dinner
Dinners are only included if you stay overnight in a homestay, overnight on cruise in Halong Bay, Mekong Delta or at some special occasions such as welcome dinner, farewell dinner or on requested. So dinners are at your own choice and arrangement, but Vivutravel's tour guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences.
