VivuTravel paves the way for a great journey in Vietnam. Travelling to a foreign country where language and culture is different from yours can be challenging. VivuTravel organized every aspect our trip while making sure that all are needs, wishes and interests are fulfilled. We had a guide and a driver for the 3 weeks. This allowed us to travel through the country side, into cities and visit remote areas. The guides speak English and for the most part can be easily understood. The drivers were all excellent and the vehicles used were all very new and comfortable. We visited the north, center and south of Vietnam. We took 3 internal flights while there. We loved the easy hikes in the Sapa region and adored the Topas Ecolodge. We highly recommend this resort. Fantastic views and perfect for hiking if you like. Food was great. Our favorite city was Ho ian. Good place for long walks or bike tours in the country side. The city has less traffic and we enjoyed our shopping experience at the night market. As always knowing a fair price for the item you wish to buy is key as the asking price can be 3 times higher than it should be. ( Knowing what your money is worth is also key: $1.00 US is about 22 000 VD). Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh (SaiGon) are extremely busy cities with millions of scooters. Walking around can be challenging but the experience is priceless. We would recommend no more than one day in SaiGon. Here are some places we enjoyed while in Vietnam: the homestay (may not be for everybody), the hiking in Sapa, the pagodas and temples, the Cu Chi tunnels, the basket boat ride, the cooking classes, the Halong bay one day/night cruise, the Vespa (scooter) tour of SaiGon, the water market near Can Tho, boat tour on the canals of the Mekong river, the community gardens of Ho ian and I could go on. We chose hotels which included breakfast and found this to be a very good option. Starting the day with a buffet breakfast which included great coffee, fruits, breads, eggs, pho soup and local dishes served us well. Be sure to sample local fruits and local cuisine. If possible we would recommend flying into Hanoi and flying out of Ho Chi Minh as this would save you one day of travel. If you book the trip with Vivu travel keep in mind that they are very open to your suggestions and you can Skype with an agent to iron out certain details. I would not hesitate in recommending VivuTravel. They are honest and easy to deal with. Our trip was from January 20th to February 10th 2018.
We liked very much our stay in Vietnam, the landscape, the food, the quality of the hotels, and overall people kindness. Your organisation was faultless ! Thanks a lot for it ! We didn’t like crowdy and touristic places but it happened only once or twice ;) We wish you a happy new year for 2018… Best regards Martine
Traffic in Vietnam is crazy, but we love the history and there are so many wonderful places to visit in this country. We liked the food tour and our tour guide in Hanoi very much. Tung was so knowledgeable and informative. Tourism in Vietnam has not been commercial and we like the way it is. We will travel to Cambodia and other areas of Vietnam next time and definitely use exceptional service of Vivutravel again.
We enjoyed our visit to Sapa, loved the trekking tour to the valley and met friendly ethnic minorities. Tung - our tour guide was very informative and helpful. The only bad thing was my friend caught cold. Will you return to Vietnam? Yes, because there is much to see in the whole country. Vivutravel did a good job and we will recommend this company to friends and family. Thanks Trang for your arrangements!
This is my third visit to Vietnam and i will return because it is a beautiful country with friendly people. Thanks Vivutravel and Trang for the great trip. All guides were very informative and attentive. The itinerary was also excellent.
Your service has been excellent, all of your guides were all well trained and charming. Level of English good, but they should try to speak a little more slowly. None of the guides were poor. With special thanks to Mr Vinh who made our tour through Hanoi fun. All excellent, safe drivers and very knowledgable of the geography. All the hotels were generally good value in line with the competitive cost of the tour. Our cruises were excellent in every way - accommodation, meals and service - except one. We found one cruise to be on a very small boat the food was not that good. All of the food was good apart from a couple of restaurants, which seemed to busy and we had to wait a very long time. We had a wonderful experience, brilliantly organised and would be pleased to recommend Vivutravel to anybody thinking of making such a tour. We also found communication with yourself was very quick, efficient and accurate.
We could not wait for a break from work and our tour through Vietnam. We chose this tour as it seemed to visit all of the destinations we had read about online. Vivutravel were so professional from the start so we knew we were in safe hands. Our tour guide met us in Hanoi and we visited street food vendors, markets and walked the old streets. Our guide was patient and friendly. Our tour stopped at Sapa, ethnic villages, halong bay and we even had the chance to go on a vespa tour around HCM - it was so much fun. We drank local beer, egg coffee and even watched the sunset over Halong Bay. The views from Sapa were amazing, you are up so high that you get to see all the rice paddies and farmers working. We found Vietnamese people friendly too. We just wish we could have visited some of the destinations earlier in the day when there were less tourists around as it was so busy. Other than that a great tour and we will definitely be back.
All 3 guides were good, they imparted their knowledge in a lovely relaxed way and took the pace of the trip at the level that suited us. We found all the drivers were very safe and drove very well. I would recommend them to anyone, especially Mr. Ha. We found all of our hotels very good in fact you could not say one was poorer than the other. The food we were provided with on the tour was good. We are adventurous eaters and all meals were of a high standard. The trip to Ha Long bay is a long trip from Hanoi and is too short on the boat. You think you have a 2 day trip on boat but we were not on the boat until after 1pm and off it the next day by 11.00am. Swimming that morning was not on offer and Kayaking was never offered. The Cave and fishing village were lovely. I think you need to look at length of time on boat against the length of time travelling in car. Maybe trip should be done from Ha Long and not Hanoi. Apart from this we had a really enjoyable trip and a good experience of the areas we visited. We would highly recommend Vivutravel.
Amazing service in an amazing country! Our party o f6 friends booked with Vivutravel - Kim Dung (Agent) was extremely efficient and helpful when deciding where best to use our time. We knew exactly where we wanted to go and Kim helped put a extremely well priced package together. Many times we went back to Kim and each time she came back to us without complaining of changes. Everything was perfect. Guides were fantastic and were waiting for us at every airport or train station. Lam (Sapa) and Nam (Hanoi) were exceptional. If we did not feel like doing things the itinerary could be changed in a moment. The hotels were terrific and we were treated like kings. In Hoi An we did our own thing and that was allowed. Nothing was too much trouble. We usually travel by ourselves but Vietnam was different. It never felt like a tour even though it was privately organised for us. We had so much fun and intend to go back. Food was amazing and the sightseeing fantastic. We would highly recommend Vivutravel should be think of going to Vietnam. They also do Cambodia and other asian countries bordering Vietnam. Things can go wrong but it was wonderful to know that we were being looked after.
Amazing Experience I was a solo, female traveler who had only been outside the United States one time before my trip to Southeast Asia and I couldn't have felt like I was in better hands than with Ms. Chi and Vivutravel! I initially contacted their office almost 6 months before my arrival just to get a quote and not only did they have the best price but the most thorough itinerary and prompt response time (even with a 14 hour time difference)! When I initially contacted Ms. Chi I had a general idea of which cities I wanted to visit, but she helped me plan out how long in each place and found me amazing accommodations even with a tight budget. I opted to do a 14 day tour starting in Hanoi and ending on Phu Quoc island which was fantastic. With such a short trip to see an entire country, my schedule was pretty jam packed, but I was always picked up promptly from every hotel and every airport for all 14 days with no issues. All of my tour guides were very thorough and kind and everyone seemed excited to share their city with me. And even with all the sightseeing tours, I still had plenty of time to do some exploring on my own and come home with some personal favorite places. Honestly, I can't say enough great things about Vivutravel and Vietnam! The people are so genuine and warm, the scenery is postcard worthy at every stop and the food is amazing. I've already recommended Vivutravel to all of my friends back home and I think everyone should plan a trip to see this wonderful country!
I returned to Vietnam for the first time in 20 years for this holiday. An awful lot had changed from what I remembered but some things were exactly the same as I had remembered them; the smile on the people’s faces, the villagers working in the fields and the fishermen had not changed. The last time I was in Vietnam was as a backpacker but this time I travelled with my wife and two of our friends for whom Vietnam was completely new. We had a great time and couldn’t think of a single thing we didn’t like. It helped that we had found Vivu Travel online and it happily discussed a variety of its tours with us before we made a final decision on this one. Special thanks must go to Hanh who was our travel consultant in the initial stages and our guides, Ha, Linh and Lien.
We arrived home this afternoon. We miss Vietnam and all the lovely sights we saw. Thank you so much for looking after us. We certainly hope to visit again soon (and use Vivu Travel, of course). Kind regards John & Sherryn
I almost cried saying goodbye to Mr Do, Ngoc and Hai and the drivers they made us feel like friends in a very big country. Thank you for all your efforts in working out our trip your program couldn't have been any more perfect. Cam on - Thank you
Hi Kim, Unfortunately, we did not receive your last email. We had a wonderful time in Vietnam and will certainly return in the future. You planned the trip very well for us with just the right amount of sight seeing, we were very fortunate to be in HCMC and Can Tho over the lunar new year. The Mango Bay Resort was excellent, it was perfect for us, not crowded and very spacious. We are sorting out our photographs and will send you some shortly. Thank you and your staff for providing a wonderful experience. Jane & Dave Myles
Hello Dung, I hope you are well :) Just wanted to thank you again for this trip, it was amazing and I am sure I will come back to Vietnam - there are many more places that I want to see. Below are some comments (feedback) from me and my friend. I hope you will find it useful. Trip itinerary and online customer service: perfect, and all thanks to you. Accommodation: more luxurious than we expected, in a positive way. Home-stay in Sapa: perfect, the home, the people, the food, everything. Mekong Delta trip: perfect, guide (Tim Tam, hope I spelled it correctly) was fun and very nice. Hanoi-Saigon flight was delayed and tiring, but this was the airlines fault and it could not be prevented, these things just happen. N-Vietnam guide (Thuan, hope I spelled it correctly) was very nice and told us a lot about the history, culture, food and life of the Vietnamese people and we learned a lot from him. He is very friendly and fulfilled all our wishes and requests. We liked him a lot and the driver was also very nice and friendly. C-Vietnam guide, Ms Linh was so nice and lovely. You should be so proud of her. S-Vietnam guide (we forgot his name, sorry) was so pleasant - we talk that much about the places. We like Vietnam very much and will gladly come back and recommend it. Thank you again for everything!
Hi Kim, This last weekend was Independence Day for the US. I was gone all weekend. I just returned and wrote my review. Thank you again for all of your help. I also wanted to add that all of our guides were great. We felt like we were leaving friends behind each time they dropped us at the airport. Thanks again,
Hi Kim, Thanks so much for our wonderful holiday. We were very well looked after, everyone arrived on time and made our holiday worry free. The vehicles were nice and the tour guides all tried there best to help us with the information about the areas and any questions we asked. We would recommend your company to our friends as a easy way to view your beautiful country. I will hopefully send some photos soon. Thanks once again to you and your team. Kind regards, Maggie
We booked this tour in march 2016 and enjoyed everything of the trip that Vivutravel organised. It was so great to have few days on Phu Quoc island before flying. Thank you so much and we will come back.
The best tour and highly recommended for the first time visitors to Vietnam.
