I have just returned from a two week tour of Vietnam which was organised through Vivutravel. What a fantastic time we had the country is magic, unspoilt by tourism and a photographers dream destination. Thanks to our guides we were able to tailor the tour to our needs and and saw many places the self guided tourist would have missed. The heritage tour really captures the unique side of Vietnam, from ancient city temples to sailing along the Mekong Delta it was all fantastic. The food was superb, our drivers professional and safe. The vehicles were well kept and comfortable. We experieenced so much. Thank you Vivutravel
I have to admit as a gay couple we were a little nervous about traveling in Asia. When we contact Vivutravel, they were really reassuring about our situation so we decided to use them to book our holiday. We chose the heritage tour as it seemed to fit in a few places we had not heard of before. From the minute we arrived our tour guide in Hanoi was super friendly and made us feel welcome. A special thanks to our driver Mr. Bao too, very funny! Every city we visited was full of history and plenty to see and do, we chose to spend a lot of time at leisure as we like to explore places ourselves and this was no bother to our guide. She even recommended places to eat and relax and drink traditional Vietnamese coffee - be warned its strong. Halong Bay overnight cruise was a highlight - very romantic. We were never made to feel uncomfortable at any of our accommodation. The Vietnamese seemed excepting of us although we did not openly show affection, out of respect for them really. My Son in Hoi An was amazing, it was like being a film set. We did so much it is hard to write about everything, but if you want to see some different parts of Vietnam the heritage tour is perfect for you. Thanks to everyone at Vivutravel for making us feel so welcome.
We have just returned from our heritage tour through Vietnam. Firstly we chose the heritage tour as it fit with our timings and budget. As a family with older children, we wanted to experience as much as we could. This tour started in Hanoi and ended in Ho chi Minh city. We wanted to add a few more excursions to our tour and our travel consultant from Vivutravel was so helpful from the beginning. Ms. Trang organised for my daughter and I to go on a cookery class in Hanoi whilst the boys visited museums. The cookery class was fantastic and very professional. We then moved onto Halong and Dong hoi, we went on a boat trip through some of the biggest caves in Vietnam - breathtaking. We LOVED dressing up for the royal dinner in Hue and even my husband reluctantly joined in! It really was a family holiday we will remember forever.
I always forgot to leave reviews, but we had such a great time in Vietnam that we just had to tell other people and say thank you to our tour operator. Vivutravel are extremely friendly and professional and even though they are based in Vietnam all of the communication has been consistent and in perfect English. We started our tour from Hanoi where great food and plenty of museums can be seen. Many of the museums are not air conditioned so always remember to carry water with you if you are traveling in summer. Our guide Mr Quyen gave us water throughout the day, which was really sweet. We traveled to halong bay from Hanoi and spent a night aboard a junk boat. Lunch, dinner and breakfast was included and the food was fresh and plentiful. The highlight was taking a night train from Halong to Dong Hoi. The night train was actually really comfortable and we managed to sleep. Well recommended. We ended our tour in HCM, which was buzzing and a great place to finish. We did so much I cannot possibly put it all in one review. The tour was fantastic, relaxing, interesting and we left wanting to get to know more about the country. Our guides, drivers and itinerary were all great. Good job Vivutravel.
