Mui Ne is not short in eating options, but may not have the most diverse culinary options in a seaside town with plenty of resorts and hotels. Delicious local spots in Mui Ne include the seafood BBQ eateries, while there are a handful of restaurants serving western food. Mui Ne is mostly a casual tourist town, so isn’t the best place to expect the fine dining experience on the Vietnam holiday. However, it is still possible to eat well with the local hotels fairly reliable and doing a good trade.
Here are a few of the most popular restaurants in Mui Ne:
The Cay Bang restaurant is well worth a visit for its fresh and tasty seafood dishes and attracts plenty of locals and travellers on the tours of Vietnam. Expect wonderful ocean views with excitable diners and plenty of noise, as well as fluro lighting and plastic stools. Also, a great place to accommodate groups with several large tables.
Chasseur Blanc isn’t a fancy restaurant, but makes a very relaxed and pleasant night out. This French owned lounge and bistro is located opposite the beach on the main street. It is a popular place for the expat crowd in Mui Ne. It is a great choice for the travellers looking for something a little different to the more traditional local flavours and foods.
El Latino is the only restaurant in Mui Ne serving fresh and delicious Mexican food. This is a casual restaurant that provides a fun, festive vibe, exceptionally friendly staff and a great menu. There are plenty of happy hour deals, as well as tacos, burritos and fajitas. Drinks and cocktails are also served at this constantly busy restaurant, which is located right next to a hostel.
Lam Tong is located on the beach strip and one of the most popular no-frills restaurants for a relaxed dining experience. This restaurant is well worth a visit for its friendly service, sea views, and really delicious seafood, especially the shrimps. While Lam Tong isn’t a 5-start seafood restaurant, it is still able to serve nice food at reasonable prices.
Mr Crab is a very casual, good fun and inexpensive seafood restaurant that is found on the tourist-friendly Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street. The fresh seafood in Mui Ne is nearly half the price you would expect to pay in major cities, such as Ho Chi Minh City. The menu has a great selection of super fresh seafood, fish and frogs/snakes. Also, the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere makes this restaurant an all-round great experience.
Sandals Restaurant is a great spot on the Vietnam family tour for the casual lunch by day and a high-quality dining experience in the evening. This restaurant has a wonderful beach setting with great ambience and ocean views, while the menu is rich in local Asian dishes, as well as a few Western choices. This is more of a fine dining experience in Mui Ne, so the prices are slightly more expensive than other nearby establishments.
