Hi Kim,
Sorry not to have replied until now.
A typhoon in the Sea of Japan (Typhoon Habibis) unfortunately forced us to abandon our return flight to Tokyo from HCMC – one of the rugby matches we were due to attend in Yokohama on Saturday 12th October was cancelled because of it, and the other scheduled for the day after was in doubt of going ahead. So rather than sit in our hotel room through a typhoon waiting to see whether the second match would go ahead we booked a flight home to London directly from HCMC.
It was a wonderful holiday in Vietnam with that unfortunate ending but which didn’t spoil our experience.
Our feedback – most important to say first that we were delighted with our tour.
Guides – Hanoi – energetic, thoughtful, experienced, very good knowledge, likeable, very good English . Great tour program.
= HCMC – enthusiastic and energetic, likeable, worked tirelessly to make sure we enjoyed our time with her. English good. We should have spent more time at the American War Crimes Museum – 1 hour not really long enough, and maybe a bit less time seeing Reunification Palace. Really enjoyed Mekong Delta, Floating market & Ben Tre.
Hotels – all good. Pandanus Resort Mui Ne doing a lot of building at present. We were upgraded to a new bungalow to move us away from the building noise J but the TV wasn’t connected yet L. Six Senses Con Dao is amazing , as it should be !!!
We were very lucky with the weather too – I think we only had 2 days of rain the entire time J
Thank you for a great touring experience in your fine country.
Best wishes
David & Julia
