Hi Hoai
We have arrived home safely after a most enjoyable holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia thanks to your assistance with all of the planning. We would have no hesitation in recommending Vivu Travel to our family and friends and have actually already passed on your details to a couple of people we met during our travels.
We thought it might assist you if we gave you some feedback on the key aspects of the trip in each location.
Ho Chi Minh City - Liberty Central Hotel is well located and provides a good standard of accommodation and facilities. We enjoyed the tours here. Our guide and driver were both extremely professional. The guide was very knowledgeable which really enhanced our experience.
Can Tho - Iris Hotel was a reasonable walk from the activities along the river, while this did not concern us, other travellers may prefer to be closer. The only negative about the hotel was the indoor swimming pool which had a very low roof and was not very enjoyable. Our time on the Mekong Delta was interesting and enjoyable. We could have managed with just one day but understand that this was also a mode of travel which made sense to go to Phnom Penh.
Chau Doc - Nui Sam Lodge. This was a delightful location with excellent views and facilities. The Cave Pagoda was a highlight.
Phnom Penh - we appreciated your proactiveness in moving us from the Juliana Hotel due to the construction work being done. As you know we were not big fans of the River Home Hotel it was well located for an easy walk to the main shopping/eating area. While I think it is important to ensure the memory of the Killing Fields is kept alive, with limited time I would probably not see Phnom Pehn as being an essential stop. The guides and driver were ok. We preferred the guide we had on the second day.
Siem Reap - Cheathata Suite Hotel is well located. Once we sorted out the issues with the room we were happy with this hotel. We appreciated your assistance at that time. The guide and driver were good and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Angkor Wat.
Hanoi - Boss Legend Hotel is very well located and offers a good standard of accommodation. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed both our city tour and our free day in Hanoi.
Sapa - Amazing Hotel was well located and appointed. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were in Sapa but despite this we had an enjoyable time. I would suggest that it may be better to visit Sapa at another time of year. Our guide in Sapa was our favourite guide for the whole tour. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was also good.
Halong Bay - An absolute must. The cruise with Grayline was extremely well organised. The boat was clean and tidy. The food was good. Our cabin was excellent. The guide on the boat was very friendly and ensured everything ran smoothly. An extremely enjoyable experience.
Hue - Pilgrimage Village was an exceptional resort. Unfortunately it rained while we were in Hue so we did not get to fully utilise the pool etc. The resort is 3 kms from the centre so you need to rely on the hotel shuttle or take a taxi. Our guide for Hue and Hoi An was very friendly and keen to impart his knowledge but we found him difficult to understand and converse with at times. He did not have as good a grasp of English as the other guides we had.
Hoi An - Boutique Resort was a fantastic hotel with great facilities. The only draw back was that it was a 100,000 dong taxi ride to the Old Town or the hotel shuttle. Hoi An was another of our favourite spots, a beautiful place to visit. The Red Bridge Cooking school was also very good and we would certainly recommend it to others.
Nha Trang - Sunrise Resort was possibly the best accommodation that we had on the whole trip. The staff was extremely friendly and professional, the facilities were excellent, the breakfast first class and the location was also good. It was a great place to relax.
Mui Ne - Pandanus Resort was also good although the initial room offered was a twin and not up to standard from a cleanliness point of view. We complained and were immediately moved. Mui Ne was quite windy but a lot less commercialised (overrun with tourists) than Nha Trang. While we enjoyed our day there given the time taken to travel to it from Nha Trang or Ho Chi Minh City we would not recommend people visiting for only one day. The driver who collected us and took us to HCMC and then to the airport on our final day was the same driver that we had at the start of the tour. While majority of the drivers could not speak English this driver was excellent with his command of English and was able to answer questions etc. given our lack of a guide at this time. We would definitely recommend him when there is no guide.
Overall we have had a great trip and hopefully you will be pleased with our review on Trip Advisor.. We would be happy for you to use our comments with potential clients.
We were also extremely grateful that you were able to assist in locating Tracey's glasses and ensuring that they were returned to us at the hotel in Nha Trang.
We hope you like the photo.

Roger and Tracey
