This was the 4th time that Vivutravel had made all the arrangements for my husband and I and for a 4th time it was amazing.
We were greeted at Hanoi airport by Quang, a guide we have spent many happy hours with.
He came with us to Mai Chau, back to Hanoi and then Cat Ba Island. At the end of almost a week we had to say goodbye to him, til another time as he booked us in at Hanoi for a flight to Danang.

Again a guide was waiting to take us to our hotel in Hoi An. Next day guide accompanied us to Ba Na Hills, fantastic. A trip to the tailors, some relaxing and a few days later a guide was on hand to take us back to Danang airport for a flight to Dalat.

Met again at the airport by a driver and booked in at our hotel. We didn't have need of a guide here as have visited before so felt confident to do our own thing, but always in the knowledge that help was only an email away, should it be required.

Few days later car arrived for the beautiful drive to Mui Ne. Booked in at our hotel and again left to amuse ourselves for the next few days.

Car arrived for drive to Ho Chi Minh airport for flight to Can Dao. Hotel bus was waiting to take us to our hotel at our final destination. Con Dao was an island used by the French to incarcerate prisoners, the history is all there for you to see. Snorkelling trip seeing lots of beautiful coral reefs, loads of lovely restaurants and time to mull over another glorious Vietnam holiday which had been made possible by the fantastic planning and knowledge of the amazing team at Vivutravel.

09h00: our boat pick up you and transfer you cruising on Lan Ha bay to harbour of Viet Hai village.

10h00: Get on land and here you will go by bicycle 6 km on a beautiful jungle road to come to Viet Hai village, an ancient village staying in the middle of Cat Ba national park. Walk around village, visit old houses and family, talk to children and local people...

Optional: you can go free to visit Viet Hai cave about 1 hour.

11h30: Have lunch in restaurant in Viet Hai village.

13h: Go back to harbour to get on boat. Continue your cruising on Lan Ha bay to a beautiful beach for swimming.

14h: arrive Van Boi area, go kayaking about 30 minutes then go swimming in the bay.

15h30: Get back to the boat and then our boat takes you back to Monkey Island. You will arrive back to the harbor at 16h15.

In the afternoon, we will take the cable way to Vong Nguyet villa where we will visit the wine cellar, Linh Ung Pagoda, Sakyamuni Buddha's monument and Ba Na by night, before concluding the trip back at our hotel in Hoi An.

After breakfast, Vivutravel's private guide and driver pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Phan Thiet, Mui Ne (5 hours drive, a perfect place to end your Vietnam Holiday – Once a part of the Cham Kingdom, it’s now a perfect stop for Vietnam beach holidays, an unremarkable town with a reasonable beach, some decent hotels, and a very good golf course. In a nice setting with white sand beaches and coconut trees, the beach resort of Phan Thiet is also endowed with amazing spots such as sand dunes, natural lakes and astonishing red canyons. Phan Thiet still has sizeable populations of Cham and Raglai ethnic minority groups. The former are a part of the area’s Cham heritage. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel, free time at leisure. The village is worth a visit for three reasons – firstly, very few tourists go further than the dunes, secondly, the small harbour is picturesque (there’s an excellent view from where the dunes road turns off) and thirdly, there’s an interesting pagoda where followers of Vietnam’s whale cult hold services and store skeletons of the massive sea mammals.
