Feedback for our Vietnam Family Trip of a life time

Hi Kim (sorry this has taken a while to complete – hope you had a great lunar new year)

Well our Vietnam family trip of a lifetime is coming to an end and we are reflecting on our time.

Firstly thank you for working with me and organising – well in reality you did most of the work ???? you were a pleasure to deal with and you allowed me to have a great break with my family.

As you have been so helpful and will be helping other families I would like to help you further by providing you with some feedback on what worked for us and what didn’t. Things that may help you when assisting other Australian families.

Some questions to ask.

Do you like Coffee? Ca Phe? As we are a family with kids we don’t drink coffee and therefore could have removed that from the agenda. One experience at a ‘coffee’ shop would have sufficed

Do you like Seafood? Unfortunately same as coffee we are not a seafood eating family. Even though it is big thing for Vietnam and I personally love seafood the rest of the family does not eat it.

What was awesome

Quang was the best tour guide. Great English great explanation of Vietnam – he kept us all engaged and we learnt lots. He really understood us and knew when to adapt menus to our tasting however this could have be done before our arrival or even a question to ask on day 1.

Jeep tour – we didn’t get the tour we thought we were however it was still good. The guide did not tell us much but he was young and likeable.

Ninh Binh – we loved this – the walking, cycling, paddling. However we could have skipped the birdwatching sorry.

2 night stay in Halong Bay was ideal. We had a private catamaran sunset tour with Chris and he was good with tik tok so was great for my teenage girls. Pearl Harbour cruise appeared to be one of the best and the only one with catamarans

We went to the bamboo circus in Hoi An – strongly recommend this for families – was the best entertainment we had the whole trip

Our cooking session in Hoi An was good

The vespa tour was a highlight for the kids in Ho Chi Minh

Phu Quoc was an okay resort to wind down at the end of touring – I think the kids had had enough of touring by end of 3 weeks and welcomed the beach break.

You were fantastic though and I thank you hugely for putting together a great holiday. I wish you all the best for 2023 and beyond. Keep smiling and keep helping families make happy memories.

Say hi to Quang for us ????

Karen
