“It Can't Get Any Better. - Surely”

This was our 5th visit to Vietnam, trips that have always been arranged by VivuTravel. Each year we come home saying that was the best trip ever but this year VivuTravel have really surpassed our wildest dreams.

During our holiday in Vietnam we travelled the north east of the country staying in home stays, guest houses and some hotels. We experienced the real Vietnam. We ate fantastic meals, ordered by our guide, in places where the Vietnamese eat. We went to places where westerners rarely go but most fantastic of all were the fantastic landscapes. We drove along roads where we were getting level with the top of the mountains and encountered the Ma Phi Leng pass and even now I still can't describe that scenery, words fail me and now home I still can't believe I've see it. Then the Ban Gioc waterfalls, spectacular and standing listening to the sound of all the water. Paradise cave, unbelievable, stupendous.

I could go on and on but this is one trip, one of many, that you should experience. VivuTravel are the best, they are Vietnamese people who have experienced this and all the trips they offer. You have a Vietnamese guide who certainly know their stuff and importantly you have the best drivers there are.
Thank you VivuTravel and we shall most certainly be back for a 6th time.

Tuan thank you for such a fantastic day. The lunch with everybody was such good fun, gorgeous food and best company ever. Forgot to say and wine. Please thank everybody who must have worked so very hard to make a feast fit for a King. Thought best not put photo of it on fb in case all your clients expect lunch when they arrive in Hanoi.

Seriously hope we can arrange a beer before we leave Hanoi. We're really looking forward to next few days.. Hope to get to send you a few photos.

Thank you for introducing us to the real Vietnam. Great boat trip round the lake, fantastic dinner with the family, good rice wine too. Very very comfortable night, no problem sleeping at all. Sun out this morning

Best so far
The journey today has been stupendous. It was like we were on top of the world not just the most northern point in Vietnam. These photos were taken whilst driving through the Ma Phi Leng Pass. We both agreed the scenery was phenomenal, unreal. We still cannot believe it.
This trip beats all others and is the real Vietnam

North East Vietnam
Just have to tell you that the trip to the North East of Vietnam is awesome.
Everywhere we went was a joy apart from the Ma Phi Leng Pass which really blew us away. It should be classed as the 8th Wonder of the World and as for the waterfalls at Ban Gioc the sight and sound of the water were phenomenal.
Whether in hotels or home stays the welcome and experience were superb.
Thank you for organising such a fantastic never to be forgotten trip. Mind you all your trips as fantastic but this is ranked the best by Barry and I.  I still cannot believe I have seen and experienced these sights.

Today Vietnam has shown us two hidden gems.
The first the boat trip up the river and into Phong Nha cave. Walking around this cave was brilliant, even managed to take photo of Buddhist monk there.
Seeing the villagers working on the river gathering weeds off the bottom of the river to provide food for their animals was just another insight into the real Vietnam.

Then we moved onto Paradise cave. Well what can you say about this awesome sight. (2bd photo). It was more than worth every step climbed.
Again, I say that these two caves are hidden gems seen only by people who have the pleasure to see inside the real Vietnam.
Just one complaint why has it taken so long for us to be allowed to share your secrets and more importantly what other surprises can you find for us.

In Dong Hoi
It is very sunny and warm here today. We are having a lazy day around the pool reading and listening to music.
At present I think we are the only people here. A lot left this morning and definitely no westerners, but we like it like that.

From Dong Hoi - Hue
Having a great trip.
Yesterday at Vinh Moc tunnel felt very sad, very emotional, over the war and your people.
Now in Hue and Romance treating us like royalty. Beautiful room, fruit and flowers, we are very lucky people.
As always we are enjoying learning about your country as well as enjoying meeting people and amazing scenery.

Now to start choosing shop to make me some shoes.
We know the guide who is going to take us to Ba Na Hills, she has been our guide before, she came with us to Quinon.
This morning as we started to go over the Ocean Cloud Pass it was foggy but once over The top and starting down to Danang sun sun sun.
Everything is really good except days starting to pass by too quickly.

Our last look at the ancient town of Hoi An. The beautiful buildings and the Japanese bridge.
So very very sad to be leaving and only 2 days left til fly home.

Last day here in Vietnam and so sad. Will have to return as now even more in my heart.
This trip has been awesome, phenomenal and brilliant and we go home with so many happy happy memories.
I made one mistake though and that is having time in Danang. Being here made me realise my mistake. Danang seems to be just a great big city that is soulless, although I realise we would have missed the Linh Ung Pagoda and that should not be missed.
Everywhere we have been has been memorable but today do wish still in Hoi An or Hanoi.

Well my dear friend here we are at Danang airport waiting to start our journey home. We have had a phenomenal trip.
Thank you for your kind hospitality. It was wonderful having such a gorgeous meal with you, Huong and all your beautiful girls, then again seeing you on our return from the North East.

Once again we go home with such very memorable memories.
