Dear Kim:
We had a wonderful trip of a lifetime wherein every aspect of our Vietnam travel, hotels and guides ran smoothly. Upon our arrival, our hidden hesitations were erased as our guide was ready to greet us with a smile. From our patient and polite tour guides to drivers with cold water bottles and hand sanitizers at the ready we have nothing but praise and these simple details made a world of difference and certainly didn't get unnoticed.
Also, all hotels were excellent and very hard to critique; we do however would like to say that the Palm Garden Resort ended as our least favorite. The hotel caters to a large tour bus clientele which basically diminishes service when all the groups need to be fed at the same time. Breakfast was not enjoyable and certainly not the type of service expected of a five star establishment.
Thank you so much for your professionalism and presenting us with a great trip which exceeded our expectations.
Regards,
Mr. & Mrs. Andrade

Hanoi, a city where the exotic chic of old Asia blends with the dynamic face of new Asia. Where the medieval and modern co-exist. Meals: Breakfast
+ Guide
After pick-up at your hotel, you enjoy a half day excursion to the famous Cu Chi tunnels. This network of tunnels, which stretched for over 200km, became legendary during the 1960s.
Cu Chi tunnels played a vital part in the U.S.-Vietnam War in that they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30 to 40 km from former Saigon .
At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to the Cambodian border. The network, parts of which were several levels deep, included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens.
Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life during the war must have been like.
The tunnels have been widened for our benefit (otherwise we would not be able to enter them!) For those interested there's even the opportunity to try an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range.
