03 Aug 12               Hanoi Arrival

Upon arrival, our private Vietnam tour guide and driver will welcome your Vietnam Holiday, pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. Hanoi, a city where the exotic chic of old Asia blends with the dynamic face of new Asia. Where the medieval and modern co-exist. A city with a blend of Parisian grace and Asian pace, an architectural museum piece evolving in harmony with its history, rather than bulldozing through like many of the region’s capitals. Hanoi is where imagination becomes reality.

04 Aug 12               Hanoi – Train to Lao Cai

Hanoi without a doubt a beautiful start for your Vietnam Tours. Today we enjoy a full day city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday & Friday), the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the impressive Ethnologic Museum, the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword.

Late afternoon we take a cyclo tour for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. In the evening, we enjoy a fantastic traditional water puppet show.  This evening, we will transfer you to the train station to experience a Vietnam train ride to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.

05 Aug 12              Lao Cai – Bac Ha Market – Sapa

After breakfast, we drive to visit famous Bac Ha Market Market where many ethnic minorities such as Flower H'mong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay and Nung minorities gather to buy and sell local products that cannot be found elsewhere. The maket is also a meeting place for men to drink away troubles, women to talk, the young to find lover. After lunch (on own), we take a walking visit to Ban Pho village of the Flower H'Mong and Nung minority, see their daily life and drive to Bao Nhai, visit Trung Do village of the Tay minority then take the beautiful boat trip down Chay River to enjoy amazing scenery and see local life along the trip. Pick up and drive back to Sapa. Free at leisure. Overnight in Sapa.

(Bac Ha market is only on Sunday)

06 Aug 12              Sapa – Lao Chai and Ta Van Village

07 Aug 12               Lao Cai – Sapa – Silver waterfall – Ham Rong – Train to Hanoi

After breakfast, we drive to visit beautiful Silver waterfall, one of the nicest one in the area before we visit the "Heaven gate" where earth meets heaven, where you can enjoy imposing mountain range, deep and panoramic view of wonderful valley. Back to Sapa. In the afternoon, we walk to visit Ham Rong Mount – Dragon Raw. It is here you have opportunity to see many different kinds of orchards, enjoy picturesque view over the town, valley..., traditional music from the local hill tribes. Free at leisure for the rest of the day until we drive you back to Lao Cai with a stop to visit Ta Phin village of the Red Dao minority. Continue to Lao Cai for the overnight train back to Hanoi.

08 Aug 12              Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi

Pick up from the train station, this morning, we drive to visit flower market then breakfast in a local restaurant before driving 2-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam's first capital, Hoa Lu. Visit to the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers.

Continue to Tam Coc through stunning limestone karst valleys surrounded by picturesque fields and villages, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs. On arrival in Tam Coc have a Vietnamese lunch. After lunch, board your private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields. After the boat trip, climb up to Bich Dong Pagoda on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating to 1428 and comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order before returning to Hanoi by vehicle where you arrive in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi.

09 Aug 12              Hanoi – Halong Cruise

After breakfast, we drive to Halong Bay (165km), Vietnam most scenic sight, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site and highlight of any Vietnam Tours.

11.30 – 12.15    Arrival at Hon Gai international harbor and welcome  at  Victory cafe

12.15 - 12.30     Transfer to cruise ship Welcome Drink – cruise briefing, safety instructions, check-in cabins - Depart to Halong Bay

15.00    Transfer from Victory Cruise  to rowing boat to visit Vung Vieng fishing village – Visit the Floating village and the pearl farm. Rowers are local girls wearing traditional costume.

11 Aug 12              Hue City Tour – Hoi An

Hue is one of places, which has many cultural heritages. Up to now, there is no place like Hue remaining a lot of originally historical vestiges as in this ancient Capital City and favorite destination for all Vietnam Tours. After breakfast, our tour starts with the visit to Imperial Citadel before taking the beautiful boat trip on the romantic Perfume River and visit Hue's best-known religious site-Thien Mu Pagoda and the Mausoleum of former emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. In the afternoon, we drive to Hoi An,  a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years and for sure, Hoi An is a wonderful destination and choice for all kinds of Vietnam Tours. This scenic drive passes through the fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds. Upon arrival in Hoi An, free to take walking tour of the Hoi An ancient town centre. 12 Aug 12          Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An

After breakfast, we invite you an interesting visit to My Son Holy land, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to 16th century with very rich in history and culture. Contemplate its remarkable red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries.

Drive back to Hoi An for lunch, in the afternoon we visit the former merchants' homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien pagoda and the colourful riverside market. Overnight in Hoi An.

13 Sep 12        Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh

After the breakfast, transfer to Danang and visit Marble mountain and Cham Museum (if time permited). Continue to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh (VN1311L 13AUG M DADSGN HK3 1030). Upon arrival, visit the War Remnants or History Museum and the former Presidential Palace. From there, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance and absolutely nice choices for a free stroll.

15 Aug 12        Ho Chi Minh – Can Tho (Mekong)

Today we will start our exploration of the Mekong Delta, a major rice producing area. This must be one of the most fascinating riverine deltas in the world. The Mekong splits into nine major arteries. A vast network of rivers and waterways with thousands of ships of all sizes plowing the waters gives the Mekong Delta a very special atmosphere. We will make a boat trip to the Cai Be floating Market, visit villages and meet the people of the Mekong Delta. Continue your boat trip to An Binh Island for Lunch in a local family. Continue to Can Tho – the heart of Mekong Delta in Vietnam. Check in on your arrival, free at leisure and overnight in Can Tho.

16 Aug 12          Can Tho (Cai Rang Floating Market) – Chau Doc

In the morning, we make a the boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats), the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill, a rice noodles making shop which are nice chances to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta. Back to your hotel in Can Tho for shower then drive to Chau Doc with a stop to visit Holy Sam Mountain. Check in your hotel, in the afternoon, we take the boat trip to explore Chau Doc's floating village, a ethnic Cham village. Tonight, we stay overnight in Chau Doc.

17 Aug 12          Chau Doc – Phnom Penh

After breakfast, we take "Hang Chau express" boat to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, pick up by our gudie and driver. City tour in the afternoon , please advise  after departure to visit Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda - so called because of 5,329 Silver tiles that cover the floor - was built in 1892. Wat National museum - a temple of Khmer art, was constructed in 1917, this museum shows the fascinating of Cambodia art archeology housing mainly sculptures dating from different periods in the history of Cambodia, Visit Wat Phnom - a small hill crowned by an active wat (Pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of the Phnom Penh.

18 Aug 12           Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

Morning flight to Siem Reap (K6 103T 18AUG 6 PNHREP HK3 0955 1040), pick up and have balloon experience. Afternoon, we discover the Angkor Temples in the small circuit: Thommanon with some very nice walled-doors and stylized devata, Chau Seytevoda, Ta Keo one of the first to be build out of sandstone, Ta Prhom was a monastery built by Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother, it has been largely overgrown by the jungle and as you climb through the dilapidated stone structures you see many giant banyan growing out of the top of the temple itself, Banteay Kdie – this temple was constructed by Jayavarman VII during the 12th and 13 centuries (citadel of the cells) used to be a religious monastery, Phreasat Kravan with a unique bas-reliefs of bricks and Srah Srang used for ceremonies and Royal baths . Dinner with apsara show today.

Breakfast at hotel in the morning departure to visit South gate of Angkor Thom - This royal city was first built under the reign of Udayadityavarman II inthe 11th century, Elephant ride to Bayon temple - this temple mountain built by Jayavarman VII is situated in the entre of the city of Angkor Thom, Baphoun - This temple built by Udyadityavarman II was the most poorly constructed of all the temples in Angkor. Phimeanakas - this temple constructed late 10th - early 11th century by Jayvaramn V. Elephants and Leper King terraces, lunch local restaurant, afternoon departure to visit one of 7 wonder of the world "Angkor Wat temple" early - 12th century by King Soryavarma II. The temple is one of the largest monuments to religion ever built and is truly one the wonders of the world and then watching sunset view from the top of Bakheng hill. Overnight in Siem Reap.
