Wonderful Vietnam holiday that we had

Dear Ngoc,

This is just a follow up email to provide some feedback on our trip.

We’ve been back in Australia for two weeks now and are still talking about the wonderful Vietnam holiday that we had. I wish to thank you for the seamless way that our trip eventuated.

We are thinking of possibly returning next year and visiting those areas that we did not get to this time around.

If we do come back, we would like to visit:

The Mekong Delta

Nha Trang

Hoi An (again)

Hue

Sapa

Halong bay (2 night cruise this time)

Can you please advise what amount of time would be required to enjoy all these places in the one trip, and what would be the best time of year to undertake the next trip. It doesn’t matter whether we started from the north and worked our way down or vice versa.

Day 2: 15 Jan 2015 Cu Chi tunnels

Almost everyone when traveling to Vietnam, has special interest in Cu Chi tunnels. This is the living place to learn about Vietnam and the Vietnam war. Morning pick up from the hotel for Cu Chi Tunnels tour. Upon arrival in Cu Chi, we visit the incredible underground tunnel network of approximately 200 kilometers hand-constructed by Vietnamese guerillas during the long struggle for independence where you will understand more about
the Vietnam War or American War, a must see Vietnam Tour for any tourists to learn about Vietnam past and present days. Afternoon drive back to Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in a Ho Chi Minh hotel.

Day 3: 16 Jan 2015 Free day & fly to Da Nang in late evening VN 132 20:10 21:25

Free day at leisure until our tour guide and driver transfer you to airport for flight to Danang. Upon arrival, we will welcome and take you to Hoian for overnight.

Day 4: 17 Jan 2015 Red Bridge cooking class
Meals: B, L

We start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street)
Visit Hoi An’s colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.
Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our new 20 meter swimming pool. Back to hotel for relax and overnight in Hoian.
Note: To reduce tour cost, we do not need the guide take you from hotel to Red Bridge

Day 5: 18 Jan 2015 Hoian free day

Days free to cycle through rice paddies in the countryside of Hoi An ancient town, shop for souvenirs among the antique shops and art galleries, or just sit at sidewalk cafes and soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town. Or relax on the white sandy beach of the famous Danang Beach. Overnight in a Hoi An hotel.

Day 6: 19 Jan 2015 Hoian – My Son

After breakfast, we invite you an interesting visit to My Son Holy land, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to 16th century with very rich in history and culture.
