Sapa in the Northern Highlands close to the Chinese border is a lovely part of Vietnam. It is regularly included in Vietnam tour itineraries with people of all ages wanting to see this lovely region. Those who are fit enough will certainly enjoy trekking in the hills and valleys. It is possible to get pleasure from just seeing the wonderful colours and sights, hearing the sounds of the night and meeting the local ethnic tribes. •    Victoria Sapa Resort and Spa is the only 4-star resort in the whole of the north-west. It is not cheap of course but there are plenty of features to justify paying a little extra.

•    Vista Sapa hotel is newly built, offering the best view toward the Fansipan and Muong Hoa valley. A great choice for those who want to relax and enjoy the picturesque Sapa.

•    Sunny mountain located on the most busy street of Sapa, but facing the mountain. A good choice to stay as it is convenient to walk around.

•    Sapa Rooms Boutique Hotel in Phan Si Pang Street is a comfortable hotel with nice rooms and a lovely restaurant.

•    Sapa Eden Hotel is on a quiet street on the road to Cat Cat Village. It has 15 rooms and there are great views of the valley and Fansipan Mountain. The Market is just five minutes’ walk away while it can arrange tours of the surrounding villages by jeep

•    Cha Pa Garden Boutique Hotel and Spa was once a colonial villa. The staff are local, with guides for walking coming from the ethnic tribes.

•    Boutique Sapa Hotel is in the centre of Sapa Town with rooms having views of Muong Hoa Valley, both Ham Rong and Fansipan Mountains and the Town itself. There are 25 rooms in all, and a restaurant that can serve up to 80.

•    Sapa Luxury Hotel blends nicely with the beauty of the district; there are hundreds of flowers covering the building. There is wi-fi, currency exchange, organised tours and transport as required.

•    Thai Binh Sapa Hotel is another centrally located hotel. It is family-run and the owner is happy to help with any questions and needs. Rooms are clean and comfortable with fireplaces in some of them.

•    U Sapa Hotel is in the centre of the Town and has interconnecting rooms if you are on a Vietnam family vacation. There are 57 rooms in all, bar, restaurant and leisure facilities.

•    Topas Ecolodge is an idea formulated in 1999, and finally finished six years later. It is accommodation that provides a chance to stay out of Sapa Town and closer to the natural environment. The facility aims to have as little negative impact on the environment as possible, minimising the chance of pollution and employing local people. It sits on top of hills in the Sapa Valley. It offers no TV or swimming pool yet has a natural herbal spa as compensation, as if that was necessary in such a lovely environment.

•    Sapa Hills Hotel has lovely views of Fansipan from its BBQ area. There are well-equipped rooms, a bar and wi-fi. The Fansipan Cable Car is 2 kms away and the Lake just a couple of minutes’ walk.
