An Bang Beach is becoming increasingly popular. It benefits from being extremely close to Hoi An, the important trading port of the Champa Kingdom many centuries ago. As a result, Hoi An is included in many Vietnam tour packages so it is no problem for tourists to stop off at the beach to simply relax.
Vietnam beaches provide a chance to relax during a busy schedule Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage site so there are plenty of things to do in An Bang other than lie on the beach; Hoi An is just 4 kilometres away!
Danang International Airport has international flights from many destinations and so tourists wishing to start in Central Vietnam with a Vietnam beach holiday are less than an hour from this lovely beach. The atmosphere is strictly casual, day and night. Take a sunshade to avoid too much sun and pop into one of the bars for refreshments whenever you like.
The dry season in Central Vietnam runs from March to September so this is the best time to visit An Bang Beach. You will get plenty of sunshine during these months while the sea is at its best; especially clear and calm. You can expect Vietnamese holiday time to be busy with locals enjoying an early swim and a BBQ around sunset. Vietnamese holidays incidentally go from June to August.
There will be sunny days once the rainy season arrives but there are cold days and rough seas as well. Surfers will actually enjoy this period because they will get some good waves.
There are plenty of nice restaurants and you should look at the fish courses because it will be the day’s catch that they will cook for you. The fish is often grilled and served with fries and a salad; that is to western tastes but there are traditional Vietnam style dishes as well. While there are no flashy nightclubs, you can expect live music and a great atmosphere here.
There are quieter stretches of coastline no distance away if you find An Bang a little busy but you will not get the same facilities. If you tire of the beach, then Hoi An has plenty of attractions for those interested in Vietnam’s history and culture. Once you leave, you will take happy memories of the beach and the time you spent there. It seems more and more people will visit, such are the positive comments that An Bang beach receives.
